"Every client is the author and I am the interpreter and producer of their story."
- Blooming Today Owner, Eileen Daniels
The natural lush unadorned beauty of Eileen Daniels' native Philippines is an enduring influence in her work today. Surrounded by dogwood, hydrangeas, tulips, roses, lilac, lilies peonies in her childhood home on Great Neck, Long Island, where her family relocated, Eileen's fascination and love of flowers deepened. Later, she was motivated to add botany coursework to her studies while acquiring a degree in biology. Eileen found the examination of plant life-cycles, structures and physiology captivating.
Blooming Today is an extension of a lifelong passion for flowering plants species and the wonderment of unique creations.
In 1996, Eileen began her career with apprenticeships at distinguished floral companies like Renny At the Carlyle. She cultivated a distinct approach over the years with assignments with renowned floral designers such as Preston Bailey and is sought after today to design, consult and produce for various event providers including Empire Force Events, VanWyck &VanWyck, Brenton Wolf and David Baehm. Her arrangements have transformed showrooms, restaurants, hotels, yachts and everyday spaces into unforgettable venues. She has provided the floral décor for Oscar de la Renta’s "So" perfume at and has showcased for the Macy's Bridal Expo and the Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spas. Eileen's designs have also graced showrooms for the Trebianno Group, which display the handbags and accessories for Jessica Simpson, Etienne Aigner, Nicole Miller, Caribbean Joe, and Hush Puppies.
Eileen's designs at Blooming Today are organic, exciting and now! They are expressive and exuberant while exquisitely restrained. She understands that every flower has its season whether it is blooming today locally or in California, Holland or South America. Recognizing each unique lifecycle and peak is vital to creating awe-inspiring arrangements. Eileen strives to incorporate the relationships and interactions between living organisms and their environment in her limited edition creations. She views floral creations as painting, with flowers as the medium.
At Blooming Today, Eileen also appreciates that floral design is a bit like fashion – the appeal of each creation is in the eye of the beholder. It is why she views every client as the author and herself the interpreter and producer of their story.
Eileen is eager to collaborate on your next event to help realize your creative possibilities with designs that are stunning, custom-styled, and exactly what you desire.
